A culinary archipelago day
Experience local food crafts and Swedish flavors the archipelago way. Join us on a tour with the boat where we meet Vaxholm's local food artisans, taste their local specialties and round off by cooking a joint archipelago dinner in the Greenhouse.
By boat to Vaxholm's food artisans
In Vaxholm and on the surrounding islands there are many local food artisans. Several award-winning and all with their specialty. Together we take the boat to visit some of them, hear them talk about their products, and buy some of what we need for the evening's dinner. The combined boat and shopping trip takes a couple of hours and during the trip you will also get to experience the archipelago around Vaxholm up close.
Cooking and dinner in the Greenhouse
Back at Vaxholm Bed & Breakfast we have a drink and prepare the dinner. The local specialties that we bought with us are included in the menu. Help out if you like, or relax in the garden and greenhouse in the meantime. Depending on the menu and the season, dinner is prepared either in the kitchen, outdoors on the grill or over an open fire. Dinner is served in the Greenhouse before rounding off the evening.
Price: from SEK 2,995 per person, drinks will be added.
The price above applies if you are 4 people or more. If you are 2 people, the price is instead 3795 SEK per person, drinks will be added.
The activity can be booked on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from March - December as long as there is no ice on the sea. No matter which day you book, you and your family or friends are the only participants. At most you can be 8 people.
Tip! Combine with a boat charter from Stockholm and the archipelago day already starts at Strandvägen. Ask us and we will tell you more.
Program
1pm
We meet at Vaxholm Bed & Breakfast, go through the day and walk down to the pier and the boat.
1.30pm - 4pm
Boat trip and shopping tour where we meet local food artisans and buy specialties for the evening's dinner. During the tour you get to experience parts of Vaxholm's island world from the water.
4pm - 6pm
Drink and cooking at Vaxholm Bed & Breakfast. Take part in the cooking, or relax in the garden and Greenhouse in the meantime.
6pm - 8pm Dinner in the Greenhouse.

Safe, dry and secure with Ockelbo B21
During the day we take you around the islands with our Ockelbo B21CAB. In its cabin up to 4 guests sit dry, warm and safe in all weather. If you are more than four, we get help from our colleagues at Resarö Sjötaxi whose boat can accommodate up to 8 guests under the roof. Do you want to start your adventure from the quay in Stockholm? Let us know and we will pick you up there instead. The price for the boat trip Stockholm - Vaxholm is additional to the price of the package.
Start the day exclusively on the M/Y Katieca
We also cooperate with Vision of Stockholm. A trip through the archipelago with their 60-foot motor yacht M/Y Katieca is really something out of the ordinary. M/Y Katieca departs from Strandvägen in Stockholm and can be chartered for an exclusive trip out to us in Vaxholm, or as a more luxurious transportation throughout the day when we meet the food artisans. Charter of M/Y Katieca is in addition to the price of the package and is offered separately via email.
